BeeBar is a taskbar project that started with the name of WisBar originally by Wis. Some time ago I decided to continue this project with the main intention of getting it compatible with the Casio BE-300 thus giving the chance for us Be'rs to have a very nice looking taskbar with working ok/close buttons, completely skinnable showing battery and memory status with a sipset button, a very special taskbar mover button that let us quickly move the taskbar on top/bottom of desktop to be able to correctly manage PPC programs with PPC menus, a nice window setup to manage all options, skins and order/visibility/functionality of buttons; many many other features.
I completely rewrote and added new things.
The features are really many, the project I have is to freely distribute it, open up part of the sources as opensource, keep adding things, and hopefully have skins pretty soon.
You can find screenshots (from beta) in the BeeBar threads and discussions.
BeeBar might have problems which I'll hopefully be able to solve pretty soon.
To install it just extract the cab file and install where you want, you can read and delete the license file, and launch BeeBar. The first run will launch setup (you'll be able to launch it when you want using BeeBar's menu) that will show you all the choices you have. You can skin, add and hide customize every single button and background too. I'll post a skin with files for a new taskbar + buttons.
Please post some screenshots/feedback to show how it works for you.
NOTE:
There's an issue with eXpod 5.x and BeeBar. Actually clean eXpod install is missing many dlls that are needed to make most ppc/wince programs work.
If you experienced a "blank" blue bar with nothing on it then you might miss these three important dlls:
- mfcce300.dll
- olece300.dll
- doclist.dll
which are present in other shells (Bee, eXpod Gold).
