this one is the most commonly asked question from new BE owners. With that in mind here's the simple answer. The BE has a type II CF slot which means it can use BOTH type I & type II cards without an adapter. the only difference is the thickness of the cards. The pin connections are the same. Either will fit into the slot. Type II tend to be either older or of larger capacity than type I (though that is fast changing). They also are more expensive. I went for a VIking type I and have no problems with it at all. I was told by Casio support that the BE could also support Microdrives upto 512MB. There are a number of users on other forums, however, that are using larger cards/drives with no problems. I suspect they just never revised the script for the newer sizes available.
